1969 A Golden Year For Creedence Clearwater Revival – “Green River” [VIDEO]

CCR gained moderate success with their 1968 debut album 'Creedence Clearwater Revival', however; it was 1969 that things would really take off led by John Fogerty (guitarist,singer,songwriter,producer).Green River:

 "Green River" was released in 1969 (August) , it would become the bands first number one charted single.

It was the catalyst of a pair of  singles,"Bad Moon Rising" and the title cut.

Let's not forget what was to come as CCR rocked with songs like the "Commotion," "Wrote a Song for Everyone" a ballad with a lot of heart and the essence of country and it's reflection on the rock and roll life, "Lodi."
