Another tragic loss as in Jimi Hendrix, both of which died at an early age.

Janis and Jimi both passed away a hair over a year after the Woodstock Festival. She pretty much got lost in the drugs and alcohol after the great festival.

Sadly enough drugs took the best of her as Janis passed away of a heroin overdose in 1970. At that time she was in a recording session of what would be her best selling album, 'Pearl'.
