’69 Woodstock Performers, Where Are They Now Part 2 Of 3 – Jimi Hendrix [VIDEO]
As Richie Havens was the opening act, Jimi Hendrix was the closing act at Woodstock. Interestingly enough a lot of attendees didn't get to see him perform.
Jimi's Sunday night show was actually mid morning the following Monday, by that time quite a few thousand people had gone home. Jimi died a year later.
It's reported that he choked to death from to much wine and sleeping pills.
His band members at Woodstock included Billy Cox (bass) pursued a solo career and found work as a session player.
Juma Sultan (congas) became a session player for a number of jazz artists.
Jerry Velez (percussion) found work as a music director, event producer and did some collaborating with various artists.
