Not a lot of time to establish some chemistry with the band Mountain as Leslie West, N.D.Smart, Felix Pappalard and Steve Knight only performed together as a unit three times prior to Woodstock.West (guitar/vocals) is not only a solo artist but loves his band Mountain as he has over the years formed and re-formed the band on several occasions.

Pappalardi (bass/vocals) quite the performing end of the business went behind the scenes as a record producer (back in the '70's). Oddly enough in 1983 Pappalardi was shot and killed by his wife Gail (Gail co-wrote a lot of Mountain's songs).

Smart (drums) was eventually replaced by Corky Laing, after which joined up with Todd Rundgren and Ian & Sylvia.

Knight became an engineer, after leaving music also became an author. From 1999 to 2007 he was a member of the town board of Woodstock.
