Joan Baez was a big part of the Viet Nam opposition and her music reflected that singing with so much passion in regards to the protection of human rights.Her activism has grown since the days of Woodstock and she now includes things like the environment, gay and lesbian rights, the death penalty, the war in Iraq and poverty.

Her LP in 2008 titled, 'Day After Tomorrow' happens to be her last release, however; she still continues a heavy tour schedule that draws a good crowd.
