Tonight's 80's @8 Feature Video is a cover that did better than the original on the charts. Quiet Riot remade Slade's 1973 hit "Cum On Feel The Noize" in 1983. While Slade just barely cracked the Top 100, Quiet Riot made it all the way to number 5. Quiet Riot drummer Frankie Banali ran across Slade's Jimmy Lea (who co-wrote the song) one day and went to shake his hand to thank him for writing a great song. Lea just left Banali with his hand in the air, apparently not happy with Quiet Riot's success with his song.
