Storm Thorgerson, Graphic Designer, Ten Of His Amazing Album Designs [Photos]

Storm Thorgerson was a graphic designer with an amazing gift, if the name doesn't ring a bell possibly his art will, known for album covers for Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, The Cranberries, Black Sabbath, Genesis and The Scorpions to name a few.

Storm (1944-2013) attended the Cambridgeshire High School for Boys, interestingly enough Syd Barrett (Pink Floyd) attended that school and was a year behind Storm, Roger Waters (Pink Floyd) a student there was a year ahead.

Storm was a graduate from the Royal College of Art with a Master of Arts Degree.

He was a teenage friend of Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour plus his best man at David's wedding in 1994 to Polly Samson.

Possibly Storm's most famous designs are those for Pink Floyd, in fact; his design for 'Dark Side of The Moon' was labeled one of the greatest album covers of all time.
