40 Years Of Classic Rock, 1973 – 2013 Part Four – Traffic, ‘Shoot Out at the Fantasy Factory’ [VIDEOS]
Critics seemed to hard on just about anything that was released in 1973, no different for Traffic's fifth album, 'Shoot Out at the Fantasy Factory.'
Regardless what critics thought, their views seemed to be a moot point as the album was a commercial success, charted at #6 on the Billboard Pop Album Chart.
Traffic formed in 1967 with members Steve Winwood, Jim Capaldi, Chris Wood and Dave Mason.
'Shoot Out at the Fantasy Factory' was their second in sales behind their previous album of 1970, 'John Barleycorn Must Die.'
The album only had five tracks on it yet very extensive in length with, "Roll Right Stones" running 13 + minutes and the only song that ran less than six minutes was titled,"Evening Blue."
