"Postcard" was penned by the late John Entwistle and it's the lead track on their album,'Odds and Sods.'

The Who had a pretty extensive tour schedule in 1974 when John wrote the song and his idea behind it was how all the 'fun' is gone from the rock star life from all the constant travel and shows being performed.

In the song places like Germany,Italy,Australia and the U.S. are mentioned and the last line in the song says it all,"We've done very well, but we've been to hell and heaven as well."

"Hope you're well at home,
Next week I'll try to phone.
Not very long to go,
I'll tell you when I'm coming home
As soon as I know."
