Another tour usually means another hotel room and Bob Seger made well use of his time on the road with this classic, "Turn The Page."

I don't know but for some reason I find the essence of soul in Bob Seger's delivery as a vocalist.

"Turn the Page" definitely is a slow song that brings out the mournful treatment of the road.

The song made quite an impact on other artists, needless to say; it was covered by Matallica, Kid Rock even Waylon Jennings.

"So you walk into a restaurant,
Strung out from the road,
And you feel the eyes upon you,
As you're shaking of the cold.
You pretend it doesn't bother you
But you just want to explode."

From 1973, LP 'Back in '72.'
