After the first couple singles released from Steely Dan 'bombed' their debut album was an immediate hit.

The fist two singles that went south would never appear on any album to this date.

Even though Walter Becker and Donald Fagen had been performing since 1967, their success of using a rotating group of backing musicians kicked in 1976.

'Can't Buy A Thrill' was certified Platinum, reached #17 on the U.S. charts and #38 in the U.K.. Was released in October 1972.
