At this point, I have easily had almost 15 different kinds of pumpkin ales.  It's so amazing how each one can offer such a unique flavor, being that there are only a handful of note worthy flavors that make up this seasonal brew.

I bring this up, because I never thought one beer could stand above the rest, but this could be the best pumpkin ale of all time.

Honestly, I had passed this ale up on the shelves for other pumpkin beers a number of times in the last month.  The reason?  I thought the label looked boring.  HA!  I guess you really shouldn't "judge a book by it's cover".

Stevens Point Whole Hog Pumpkin Ale is excellent.  It's not overly sweet, not too bitter.  You can taste ALL the fall seasonings equally like cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, etc.  Nothing overpowers.  It all works together nicely.

No wonder they only sell these babies in a four pack.  If you see them, grab them!  This pumpkin brew comes and goes pretty fast.
