In my opinion, the 70s were the golden era of music. There were bands and artists of every style that were being innovative and pushing the creative envelope. Some of the innovators of the time being: Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Genesis, Frank Zappa, and Rush.

Of course, I’m biased. I like rock music, so that’s typically who I credit the 70s innovation to. Obviously, not all of the talent was in the world of rock-n-roll. A good portion of it was in pop as well. One group that wrote timelessly catchy songs and had absolutely astonishing vocal abilities was ABBA.

I don’t care who you are - EVERYONE likes “Dancing Queen.” It’s so funky that it’s scientifically impossible not to sing along with it in the car (you know you’ve done it before.)

Needless to say, I’m pretty stoked that the ABBA tribute band – Abbasolutely Fab – is coming to Minnesota. They’re playing the Le Musique Room in St. Michael on October 13th. The show starts at 8 pm and you can get your tickets online now for as cheap as $26.
