AC/DC have announced that they will release their first new album in six years, an 11-track collection named 'Rock or Bust,' on Dec. 2, 2014. Fans will get the chance to hear a new track called 'Play Ball' from the album during Turner Sports / TBS coverage of the Major League Baseball playoffs.

However, there is also sad news to report, as the band revealed that founding guitarist Malcolm Young will not be returning to the group. This is a result of the undisclosed illness that kept him out of the recording sessions for 'Rock or Bust.' This will be the first album in AC/DC's 41 year history made without him.

As the press release explains, "Unfortunately, due to the nature of Malcolm's condition, he will not be returning to the band. AC/DC will undertake a world tour in support of 'Rock or Bust' in 2015. Stevie Young, nephew of founding members Angus and Malcolm Young, plays rhythm guitar on 'Rock or Bust' and will accompany the band on tour."
