AC/DC has hinted that the band may hit the road in 2013 to celebrate their 40th anniversary.

The group was formed in 1973 by Angus and Malcolm Young and the rest of the original line up consisted of bassistLarry Van Kriedt, vocalist Dave Evans and drummer Colin Burgess.

Since then, they've sold over 200 million albums and become one of the highest grossing bands in history.

And now with their 40th anniversary approaching, current lead singer Brian Johnson is saying the group will get together soon to see "how we're feeling" and saying a "victory lap" may be in order for 2013.

There's also been talk that a follow up album to 2008's "Black Ice" may also be in the works but Johnson only says "We never ever say 'we're going in the studio January next year,' if you do that you're straight under pressure and we've never worked like that".

Johnson recently published a book titled Rockers And Rollers: A Full-Throttle Memoir, which mainly details his long-standing passion for cars and auto racing.
