Adrian Peterson said he'd like to play for the Dallas Cowboys when his tenure is up with the Minnesota Vikings.

Words from the horses mouth in a June phone call with Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, Adrian Peterson mentioned he'd like to play for The Dallas Cowboys when all is said and done with the Minnesota Vikings.

He's no doubt been a valuable asset for the Vikings since coming into the league back in 2007 (drafted 7th overall by the Vikings).

The Texas native is from Palestine, Texas and played college football at Oklahoma.

In the NFL he has rushed for over 10,000 yards to date, will he catch Emmit Smith who has over 18,000 yards?

In Jerry's suite at AT&T Stadium the conversation went like this : "Well, we'll see what we can do, if we can make that happen," Jones, who is also the Cowboys' general manager, told Peterson. "Hmm hmm ... I'd like that, too ... Well, we're talking pig Latin here, but let's see if we can do that ... We're talking pig Latin here, but let's see what we can do about that. OK, Adrian, thanks." Adrian Peterson is in his fourth year of a seven year deal, if all goes to plan he would be a Cowboy in three years.
