Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson is the only player on the team to be selected by players, fans and coaches to the 2016 NFL Pro Bowl. Peterson leads the NFL in total rushing yards this season with 1,314, and is tied for third in the touchdown race with nine.

This will be Peterson's seventh Pro Bowl appearance, tying him for the 4th most in team history with Ron Yary. Randall McDaniel holds the team record with 11 appearances.

Peterson said that it's an honor to be selected, but he's focused on is the post-season. The 2016 Pro Bowl will be played in Honolulu on January 31st.

The Vikings can clinch a playoff spot by defeating the New York Giants this Sunday night at TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
