The parents of Amy Winehouse, and fans of the singer, gathered outside her home in the Camden section of London Saturday to mourn the death of the 27 year old artist.

It was no secret this girl had chops, it's sad to see someone pass away before they can get a grip on life and share their gifts.

Winehouse has joined the '27 club' - an age that musicians seem to have a tough time getting through alive. Other rockers who died at the age of 27: Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, and Kurt Cobain to name a few.

When Amy's 2006 album 'Back to Black' was released, it was the highest charting U.S. debut ever by a British female. Therefore, the singer/songwriter will always be remembered for paving the way for other female British artists to break out into the American music scene.
