SARTELL -- An Angel of Hope statue is being dedicated by the family of a Sartell teen who died unexpectedly.

Randy and Tami Kruzel lost their daughter, 18-year-old BriAnna Kruzel in 2013 to natural causes. BriAnna was highly involved in the community, she volunteered for several organizations, was awarded the St. Cloud Optimist Award in 2013 for her volunteer work as well as being recognized as a High School Big Sister of the Year.

The statue will be in the Lake Francis Town Square Development. The dedication will be held indoors at Chateau Waters in Sartell, Tuesday at 6:30 p.m with a candlelight vigil at 7:00 p.m.

The Angel of Hope sculpture is an angel spreading its wings, with its head and face looking up towards heaven. The memorial will be based on the book, "The Christmas Box" a story of a mother grieving at the base of an angel.

There are seven Angel of Hope statues in Minnesota. The Sartell Angel of Hope will be a place for anyone in the community to go to grieve the loss of their child.

In honor of BriAnna's volunteerism her family started the non-profit What Would Bri Do. Since 2013 the organization has donated more than $26,000 to community education dance, Girl Scouts, Big Brothers Big Sisters, scholarships at Sartell- St. Stephen High School as well as many small donations to other organizations.
