A dentist in Iowa fired a female employee because of his, "irresistible attraction to her," and caused him to think of cheating on his wife with her. The female assistant sued him for sex discrimination. The Iowa Supreme Court ruled in favor with the dentist.

According to the Fort Dodge Messenger, James Knight, the 53-year-old Fort Dodge, Iowa dentist, fired his female assistant, 33-year-old Melissa Nelson. Melissa's attorney aid the court's decision was a horrible blow to gender equality.

"Now men can protect themselves from sexual harassment claims simply by firing women they've been harassing."

The all-male Iowa Supreme Court ruled that it wasn't sex discrimination because Knight fired Nelson based on feelings, not gender.

The dentist's attorney said, "It was a great decision." Of course he did.
