Starbucks is off and running with with their app that you can give the barista a digital tip.

Starbucks app where you can tip the barista is nationwide, soon to be in other markets. They have three tipping options, 50¢, 1$ or 2$.

Personally I like the idea. You ever hate it when they stare at you waiting for your tip?

Starbucks says the tips will be paid out to workers in cash.

According to Forbes, "The mobile tipping option will be sent to customers' phones via a push notification."
