If you are looking for something fun to do with the whole family, I have found it! Now that the weather has made the inevitable down turn towards winter (aka - fall) it's not always fun to be outside in the cold. So here is an idea that will keep everyone in the family entertained, plus it's educational - just don't tell the kids that.

Astronomy Public Night at St. Cloud State University gives you a chance to see the night sky and learn about the solar system in their planetarium. I remember the first time I visited the SCSU Planetarium back in grade school. It's actually one of the only field trips that I still remember, because it was such a cool experience. Don't miss out on this, trust me.

Their next Astronomy Public night is coming up on Tuesday October 25th and there are still a few seats available for the 8PM show. The next date is Tuesday November 29th and there will be a show a 6PM and 7PM.

Reservations are needed to see the show since it is a very popular event. They begin taking reservations one month before the next scheduled show. Your reservations can be made by calling the Physics and Astronomy office at 320-308-2011 Monday - Friday 8AM - 4:30PM or by sending an e-mail to Planetarium@stcloudstate.edu.
