Police Ask For Help Identifying Suspects Who Allegedly Stole Over $4,300 Worth of Cigarettes
St. Cloud Police are asking for help identifying suspects involved in two thefts at area grocery stores over the past several weeks. During the two thefts, the suspects allegedly stole several cartons of cigarettes valued at over $4,300.
SCSU Bans Hoverboards on Campus
One of the most popular holiday season gifts has been banned from the campus of St. Cloud State University, due to safety concerns. Hover boards were a popular Christmas gift, but there have been increasing reports of them starting on fire, exploding and people getting hurt falling off of them.

The Denver Nuggets snapped a five-game home losing streak with a 111-108 overtime victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday night. Danilo Gallinari finished with 23 points, including nine in overtime to lead the Nuggets.

St. Cloud Native Killed in Avalanche in Sierra Nevada Mountain Range
Searchers have found the body of a missing St. Cloud native who was killed in an avalanche in the Sierra Nevada mountain range in California. Inyo County Sheriff William Lutze says crews used sonar technology to find Michael David Meyers on Saturday in the John Muir Wilderness east of Fresno.

Sartell Police say messages circulating through social media suggesting an attack by ISIS in Minnesota, including St. Cloud, are only a rumor. Police Chief Jim Hughes says his department recieved numerous emails and calls on Monday night about a Tweet that was sent out on the 21st (shown above).
