Wild Sign Cody Almond To 1-Year Deal
The Minnesota Wild have reportedly signed center Cody Almond to a 1-year $550,000 contract. Almond is a 6'2 217 pound 24-year old center who last played in the NHL with the Wild in 2012 when he compiled 1 goal in 10 games during the 2011-2012 season in Minnesota.
Timberwolves Draft LaVine, Robinson III
The Timberwolves chose one, if not the most, athletic player in the draft in 6'6 guard Zach LaVine from UCLA. LaVine played just one season at UCLA and averaged 9 points per game.
Angels Down Twins 6-4
The Twins lost 6-4 in Anaheim to the Angels Thursday and were swept in the 3-game series. Ricky Nolasco allowed 11 hits and 6 earned runs in 6 innings to take the loss and drop to 4-6. His ERA is now 5.74.

Rox Beat Border Cats to Improve to 2-0
The St. Cloud Rox defeated Thunder Bay 7-4 in Canada today to improve to 2-0. St. Cloud scored 3 runs in the 7th inning to break a 4-all tie. St. Cloud Apollo graduate Reese Gregory threw 3 shutout innings with no hits allowed and 3 strikeouts to get the win.
Rox Top Thunder Bay 9-7 to Open Season
The St. Cloud Rox began the 2014 season with a 9-7 win at Thunder Bay Tuesday night. St. Cloud led 7-0 going into the bottom of the 5th inning when Thunder Bay scored 7 runs to tie the game.
Twins Rally to Beat Rangers 4-3
The Twins came from down 3-2 to defeat Texas 4-3 Tuesday night and end a 4-game losing streak. Eduardo Nunez singled in Oswaldo Arcia to tie the game at 3 before Danny Santana reached safely on a throwing error from Joakim Soria allowing Nunez to score and end the game.
Vikings Agree to Sign Bridgewater and Barr
The Vikings agreed to sign first round draft picks quarterback Teddy Bridgewater and outside linebacker Anthony Barr. Bridgewater was selected with the 32nd pick in the 1st round while Barr was chosen #8 in the 1st round.
Twins Beat Padres 5-3
The Twins downed the Padres in San Diego 5-3 Tuesday night. Kevin Correia threw 6 innings with 4 hits and 3 earned runs allowed to get the win and improve to 2-5. Glen Perkins threw a scoreless 9th inning to get the save, his 13th.
Twins, Parmelee Beat Red Sox 8-6
The Twins got a walk-off 2-run homerun from Chris Parmelee off Andrew Miller in the 9th inning last night to beat the Boston Red Sox 8-6. Minnesota went out to a 5-1 lead in the 2nd inning before Boston tied the game at 6 in the 7th inning.
Av’s Edge Wild 5-4 In Overtime
The Minnesota Wild lost 5-4 in overtime in Colorado to the Avalanche in Game 1 of their Western Conference opening round playoff series Thursday night.
