The Tampa Bay Rays completed a 3-game sweep of the Twins with an 8-6 walk-off win Sunday night at Tropicana Field.
Vikings Sign Kendricks to 5-Year Deal
According to ESPN the Vikings have signed linebacker Eric Kendricks to a 5-year contract worth $50 million with $25 million guaranteed. In 3 years with the Vikings he has totaled 253 solo tackles, 30 tackles for loss, 26 quarterback hurries, 21 pass break-ups, 7.5 sacks and two interceptions.
SCSU Hires Larson As Hockey Coach [AUDIO]
St. Cloud State has hired former University of Minnesota assistant coach Brett Larson to replace Bob Motzko. Larson was introduced at a press conference this afternoon. He signed a 5-year contract.
Jimmy Butler Getting Close to Return
The Timberwolves have 4 regular season games remaining and the Wolves are currently holding the 7th spot in the Western Conference. Minnesota is hoping forward Jimmy Butler can return either Thursday or Friday from a knee injury.

The Minnesota Wild scored 3 2nd period goals and scored twice on the power play in their 5-2 win over the Dallas Stars last night. Mikael Granlund had a goal and 2 assists, Matt Dumba had a goal and 3 assists and Zach Parise scored twice for the Wild.
Orioles Walk-Off Twins in Season Opener
The Twins lost 3-2 in 11 innings in Baltimore yesterday on a walk-off solo home run from Adam Jones against Twins' closer Fernando Rodney. The Twins rallied to tie the game in the 9th inning on a 2-run bloop pinch hit single from Robbie Grossman.
Twins’ Polanco Suspended 80 Games
Twins' shortstop Jorge Polanco has been suspended 80 games after testing positive for a performance-enhancing substance. The commissioner's office says Polanco tested positive for Stanozolol. Polanco hit .256 with 13 homeruns and 74 RBIs last season in 127 games.
Wolves Lose to Rockets; Butler Hopes to Return Earlier
The Timberwolves lost 129-120 to Houston Sunday night at Target Center. Minnesota trailed by 21 at halftime and got as close as 5 points in the 2nd half. Houston was led in scoring by James Harden with 34 points while Minnesota was led by Jeff Teague with 23 points and 11 assists.
SCSU’s Schuldt Named Hobey Baker Finalist
St. Cloud State junior defenseman Jimmy Schuldt has been named a top 10 finalist for the Hobey Baker award. The Hobey Baker award is given to the top Division I college hockey player each year.
Minnesota Vikings to Sign QB Kirk Cousins
According to multiple sources the Vikings have agreed to a 3-year $84 Million contract with free agent quarterback Kirk Cousins.
