October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Voni Hovland is the Intimate Partner Violence Prevention Program Coordinator at the St. Cloud V.A. She says the program focuses on three areas; screening for intimate partner violence, raising awareness and providing intervention.

Cathedral Boys Soccer Back In State Tourney
The Cathedral boys soccer team is making their 3rd straight state tournament appearance after capturing the Section 8A championship 4-0 Tuesday night at Sauk Centre High School.
Tech Edges Apollo 2-1 To Advance To State
The Tech boys soccer team defeated Apollo 2-1 Tuesday night at ROCORI High School to capture the Section 8-2-A title and earn a trip to the Class AA State Tournament. This will be Tech's 2nd straight State Tournament appearance.
Tech/Apollo Rivalry Renewed in Boys Soccer Section Final
Tech will play Apollo in the Section 8AA Final at ROCORI High School tonight at 7 p.m. The Tigers upset Willmar 1-0 while Apollo knocked off Alexandria 4-2 in the section semifinals last weekend.
Cathedral Girls Soccer in Section Final Tonight
The Cathedral girls soccer team is one win away from a State Tournament appearance. The 14-2-1 Crusaders will play East Grand Forks at 5:15 p.m. at Sauk Centre High School in the Section 8A finals.

Garvey Commons is the cafeteria at St. Cloud State University. SCSU students and staff can use Garvey for breakfast, lunch and dinner. St. Cloud State University President Dr. Robbyn Wacker indicated that Garvey is also open for the general public on a walk-in basis.
