Believe me, being in radio for over thirty years, I have an abundance of embarrassing stories. Some or most, I can't really share for one reason or another but this one sticks in my mind after all these years. I actually smile when ever I think back on this. Back in the early nineties I was working at a radio station WDIZ in Orlando, Florida and every year it was Light Up Orlando and they would block off all of downtown Orlando. Several radio stations in town would have a stage set up somewhere in the downtown area and bring in national acts to perform. That year our station brought in the band Foreigner to play. This was a year or two after after Lou Graham had left the band. Well, my job was to get up on stage in front of thousands and thousands of people, throw out a few t shirts and announce that Foreigner would be out on stage soon. The rest can be heard in the video above.
