The Beatles are going back to India to help prevent jaywalking.

Apparently, Calcutta, India is void of cross walks. What they do have, they call ‘zebra crossings’ but no one is using them, so traffic officials are using the Beatles to show people that following the rules and using the ‘zebra crossing’ is cool. Of course, they aren’t using the actual Fab Four. They’re using the cover of Abbey Road on a new poster with the slogan “If they can, why can’t you?”

The Traffic Police in Calcutta says that they were mulling over several different musical prospects, but decided on the Beatles, "because of their timeless appeal and the photograph, which fits the bill."

Officials add that the group, “touched thousands” and that the Calcutta Traffic Police just wanted to “use their universal appeal to save lives.”
