I thoroughly enjoyed Granite City on Tap this year, as my solo dance routine video would show.  With almost 100 brews and ciders, there were plenty of samples I stumbled across that I was trying for the first time.  I drink my fair share of beer and love trying new brews when I get the chance, so it's not like I'm new to exploring craft beer.  That just goes to show you how many options there were to check out.

That being said, beer wasn't the only attraction.  Here are a few of my favorite things from Granite City on Tap 2014.

1.  The People - I met plenty of new friends this weekend at the Benton Country Fairgrounds!

2.  The Food - Pizza, burritos, sliders and all kinds of handmade confections to keep you fueled for the day.

3.  The Games - Nothing more entertaining than watching a bunch of tipsy adults play Giant Jenga and Hammerschlagen.

4.  The Hop Rockets - Okay, so I know I didn't say beer, but this isn't a beer.  It's the contraption the beer comes out of.  These suckers alone made the VIP ticket worth it.

5.  The Band - Love me some live music, especially acoustic.  I don't know what it was about the hand-drums, but they put me in a great mood.  The Loones were a really fun band!  Highly recommend them for your next party.
