Bemidji Edges Apollo In Section Final
The Apollo baseball team lost 2-1 in the section 83A championship game Wednesday night at Dick Putz Field. Ryan Hirt outdueled Reese Gregory for Bemidji. Hirt threw all 7 innings with just 3 hits allowed to get the win. Apollo scored first on a 1st inning RBI single from Dylan Jaeger. Gregory threw all 7 innings for Apollo and allowed 5 hits, 3 walks and 2 earned runs to take the loss.
Apollo’s season ends with a record of 22-3. Bemidji is ranked #3 in the state in Class 3A and will play in the Class 3A state tournament next week.
