ST. CLOUD - A benefit for a State Trooper based in St. Cloud is being held on Sunday. Trooper Josh Orbeck was diagnosed with Leukemia in April.

His wife Natasha says they've gotten a lot of support from Orbeck's fellow members of the State Patrol.

They have been incredible. It's a wonderful family to be a part of, especially in light of things in recent months here with law enforcement.  The community support as well is just phenomenal.  But State Troopers definitely have a special place in our hearts.

The next step for Orbeck will be a bone marrow transplant.

So we did find a donor. And the next step is just requesting that donor. It sounds like there's no time restrictions on them, so as soon as they are notified and things are approved then we begin the process.

Orbeck was hired by the St. Cloud Police Department in 2008, and worked for the department for six years.  He joined the Minnesota State Patrol in 2014.

The Leukemia has settled in Orbeck's eyes, which has made it difficult for him to see.

A silent auction and spaghetti dinner for Orbeck will be held on Sunday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the St. Cloud Eagles Club.

Natasha Orbeck says they've had over $30,000 worth of donations to be auctioned off on Sunday.

Tickets for the benefit are available by email: workin4Josh@yahoo.com.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for ages 5-12. Kids under 5 are free.  Each ticket bought is a chance to win $50.
