The Minnesota Wild season came to an abrupt end in St. Paul last night, falling to the Chicago Blackhawks 2-1 in overtime. The win gave Chicago a 4-2 series win, and a date in the next round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs with the winner of the Los Angeles/Anaheim series.

Chicago had a 1-0 lead at the end of the first. Minnesota's loan goal was scored by Erik Haula in the second with assists by Cooke and Stoner. It was 1-1 at the end of the second, and again at the end of the third. Chicago's Patrick Kane ended it, scoring at 9:42 into overtime.

Chicago advances to the Western Conference Final against either the Anaheim Ducks or the Los Angeles Kings. Anaheim leads that series 3-2.
