A potent winter storm is setting up for a potential strike across Southern Minnesota for Tuesday and Wednesday -- with blizzard conditions a distinct possibility for Rochester, Mankato, Albert Lea, and Worthington. Accumulations of 1-3" are more what we are expecting in the St. Cloud area.

From the National Weather Service this evening:  A winter storm is expected to produce accumulating snowfall, including potentially blizzard conditions across far southern MN, Tuesday through Tuesday Night. The heaviest snow looks to fall from Iowa through southeastern Minnesota and southwestern Wisconsin. Areas in the Blizzard Watch area could see up to 14 inches of snow along with wind gusts up to 45 mph -- causing whiteout conditions, making travel impossible.
