There have been a lot of rumors swirling around U2 since Bono made a comment to 'Rolling Stone' magazine saying "the band may have finally run its course". But the most current news from the U2 camp... Bono is blaming a mediocre performance on his shoes.

You would think Bono would have more important or at least more relevant things to talk about right now considering all the U2 break-up rumors, but instead he is making a point to let everyone know that when the band performed at the Glastonbury Festival this past summer he was wearing the wrong shoes, which lead to a sub-par show.

Apparently it had rained just before the band went on, making the stage slick. Bono said "...the stage was like an ice rink...I couldn't move. We were a bit freaked out." Bono went on to say someone had knocked out one of their computers so they had to perform without keyboards. Seriously, couldn't some actually play the keyboards? I don't know, it's just a thought...

This all sounds like a lot of fluff if you ask me, I mean seriously who cares? I wear uncomfortable shoes all the time, sometimes they hurt, sometimes they are hard to walk in, but I do it because they are cute and because I know how to suck it up. I think Bono should learn to do the same.

Speaking of the break-up rumors, U2's manager Paul McGuinness was recently asked by a 'Belfast Telegraph' reporter in Dublin if there was any truth to the rumors. Paul responded by saying "No, and I think I would have heard. They are always working on the next record."

Now you can decide for yourself what to believe, I think I'll just sit back and wait.
