UPDATE: Motel Evacuation Ends Peacefully in Waite Park

WAITE PARK - No one was hurt after an incident which closed some Waite Park streets and evacuated a motel Wednesday.

St. Cloud Police say they evacuated the Motel 6 after a suicidal man was believed to be inside with a gun.

The St. Cloud Police Tactical Response Team made contact with the man and convinced him to exit the motel peacefully. Officers took the man into custody without incident and brought him to St. Cloud Hospital for an evaluation.

The incident ended peacefully and no gun was found at the scene.
