Paul McCartney is in a Japanese hospital and has been forced to cancel his tour.

A portion of Paul McCartney’s “Out There” Tour has been canceled due to the fact that Paul is in a Tokyo hospital and has been ordered complete rest for an unknown period of time.

Paul came down with some sort of virus shortly after landing in Japan last week and was hospitalized shortly there after.

His tour is set to launch in the U.S. next month with a stop at Target Field in Minneapolis in August. No word on if any of his U.S. shows will be canceled or postponed.

Paul is 71.
