Out of all the things you'd expect to see a bride do on her wedding day, this is probably not one of them.

Christina Torino-Benton was in the midst of her wedding ceremony in Montreal on June 18 when her nine-month-old daughter, Gemma, began crying. Torino-Benton had to act fast, so she did what any mother would do and fed her:

I tried for maybe two minutes to allow some family members to calm her down, but having missed her nap, and in that heat, it wasn't going to happen. There was no question. I had to nurse, and I wasn't hesitant about it at all."

The strapless dress made it easier to feed Gemma and photographer Lana Nimmons snapped a picture of the scene, which she then posted on Facebook.

The priest kept the ceremony going, too. “The people at my wedding were not surprised with me feeding Gemma mid-ceremony because I’m always feeding her at some point or another in front of them,” Christina told the Huffington Post.

The response has been pretty positive (although this guy would've probably been furious), with several women sharing photos of themselves breastfeeding.

“I’m feeling nothing but positive vibes from the public response,” Christina said. “Everyone has been very encouraging and supportive.”
