At least that's what insiders at Columbia Records are saying. Bruce recently played his new album to executives at the label and apparently they called it the "angriest he's ever made".

The album, which is being produced by Ron Aniello, is "very rock and roll..." according to the Columbia Records insider. He focused a lot of the music around current events, mostly the economy, so I guess I don't blame him for sounding angry.

Bruce's new album will also feature some "unexpected textures..." and influences from "hip-hop to Irish folk rhythms", which officially has me intrigued.

The yet to be titled album also does not have a release date yet, but I'm sure it won't be too long. Springsteen is reportedly kicking off his next tour in Denver March 2nd, so if that is the case, it's pretty safe to assume the album will be released somewhere around the same time.
