Pumpkin spice flavored everything seems to be all the rage lately. Personally, I’ve always been a fan of this flavor, but it seems like over the past couple of years it’s caught on with the rest of the world too.

So much so that most coffee shops have started releasing their pumpkin spice flavored beverages an entire month early. That’s right – you no longer have to wait until October to enjoy the glory of pumpkin spice. This year we got it in September. I wonder if companies will keep releasing it earlier every year.

Maybe at some point we can have pumpkin spice flavored drinks year-round. Anyway, I digress. Caribou Coffee is my favorite coffee shop around, and this year they released TWO fall themed flavors instead of one. Along with their pumpkin flavored drinks they have also released the Maple Budino.

Everything I’ve ever tried from Caribou has been outstanding, so I decided to give this a try. WOW – was this thing bland. There’s probably more flavor in a bag of unseasoned, unbuttered popcorn than there was in the Maple Budino.

I would never try this thing again, but if you’re as much of a coffee addict as I am then you can be the judge. There are literally 2 Caribou Coffees in St. Cloud right across the road from each other on Division Street, so trying it out shouldn’t be an issue.
