The Vikings face a big test Sunday as they play the Bears in Chicago at noon, pregame on WJON at 11am. Minnesota is coming off their bye week. The last game the Vikings played was a 30-20 win at home against Detroit. The Bears lost 32-7 Monday night at San Francisco while playing without starting quarterback Jay Cutler (concussion).

Cutler said Tuesday that he will return this season but he doesn't know whether he'll be back this Sunday against Minnesota.

Ponder is in his first full season as the starting quarterback for the Vikings. He has thrown for 2,027 yards and 12 touchdowns with 8 interceptions this season. His quarterback rating is 85.2.

Peterson allegedly refused to leave the Houston night club back in July and became combative with staff. He was scheduled for a court appearance in Texas on Thursday.

Peterson sat out because of an illness but is expected to play Sunday against Detroit. Harvin missed a 2nd straight day of practice with an ankle sprain. Harvin was spotted in the locker room limping badly.

Drew Brees threw two touchdown passes and Patrick Robinson scored on a 99-yard interception return, as the New Orleans Saints beat the Philadelphia Eagles, 28-13, in the Superdome on Monday night.
