The Minnesota Wild defeated the Florida Panthers 5-1 Tuesday night at Xcel Energy Center. The Wild is now 21-16-5 with the win.

Wild goalie Alex Stalock had his best game in a Minnesota uniform and the Wild won 4-2 over the Calgary Flames.

Between injuries and missed chances the losses are starting to pile up early in the season for the Wild.

The Minnesota Wild have been off to a slow start at the beginning of the season and hope to turn this around after five days off.

The injury depleted Minnesota Wild lost 5-4 in overtime to the visiting Columbus Blue Jackets Saturday night.

The Wild will host Columbus Saturday night at their home opener in St. Paul. Puck drop is slated for 7 p.m. on AM 1240 WJON.

Former St. Cloud State University Husky Ryan Malone has been out of the NHL scene for the past three years. Though he didn't make the Minnesota Wild roster this year, he did score a spot on the Iowa Wild. And over the weekend he proved that he's not afraid to drop gloves, as he got into TWO different fights with players from the Milwaukee Admirals...

The Wild will play at Carolina Saturday night at 6 p.m. The game can be heard on AM 1240 WJON.

The Wild will host the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday afternoon at 5 p.m. The regular season begins on October 5th in Detroit.

Former SCSU standout Ryan Malone scored the only goal of the shootout to give the Wild the win.

Minnesota Wild fans will have the opportunity to contribute water from their local hockey rinks, ponds and lakes to the ice sheet at the Xcel Energy Center. Fans all over Minneosta are invited to bring water to the arena in a portable container (a maximum of three ounces of water) on Saturday September 16th, to put on a Zamboni located outside Gate 1 from 6AM to 3PM...

Matt Cullen lives and breathes hockey, so of course he's from Minnesota... I mean we are the state of hockey for a reason. Well it's been confirmed that the Minnesota Wild and Cullen have come up with a deal so that he can come home.
