The Vikings had a few players miss practice Tuesday in preparation for their game Thursday night at home against Tampa Bay.
The Vikings are giving running back Adrian Peterson and defensive end Jared Allen a break this week. Both missed practice Thursday for precautionary reasons.

The Vikings lost 38-26 at Washington to the Redskins Sunday afternoon. Robert Griffin III secured the win by reeling off a 76-yard touchdown run with 2:43 left. The Vikings took a 9-0 lead but trailed 17-9 at halftime. Washington went out to a 30-12 lead before Minnesota mounted a comeback. The Vikings got as close as 30-26 before Griffin scored on the long touchdown run.
Simpson doesn't need surgery for his lower left leg and Leslie Frazier says "all indications are" that Simpson will be fine for Sunday.
Viking head coach Leslie Frazier spoke to the media today and expressed concern over Jerome Simpson's pregame injury to his ankle and that they will do a MRI today to determine the severity of it. He suggested that the injury may have effected his back and legs. Simpson played sparingly Sunday against Tennessee and didn't record a catch.

The NFL Officials have an agreement to end the lockout with the NFL and Sartell's Mike Spanier is one of the officials heading back to work this weekend. Mike is a line judge and has been assigned to work the Carolina at Atlanta game this Sunday. The officials will gather in Dallas for a referees clinic on Friday and will vote Saturday morning to ratify the new agreement between the officials union and the NFL.
The NFL and and the NFL Referees Association have agreed to a contract that will send referees back to the field this weekend, according to NFL.com.
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said in a statement that the the refs will be back on the field starting with Thursday night's game between the Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens
I'm no sports geek. I watch the Vikes on TV, I like seeing the games. I even own a couple of Vikings shirts that I wear for good luck on Sundays. But I'm no raging fan that paints their face and drives a purple hand-painted school bus. I'm not even a rabid enough fan to stop everything for a Monday Night Football game... and I just found out last year there are games on Sunday night. But even I can tell, the replacement refs suck.
