Central Minnesota Restaurant In The Middle of a Farm Field
What do you do when you have a large farm, grow everything under the sun, and can cook home made food to die for? Apparently you open a restaurant in your front yard!
When you get featured on the website “OnlyInYourState.com“, you know you’re doing something right. The website gives you the coolest, most unique and interesting things to see and do in each U.S. state. This farm restaurant in Sauk Centre is one of a kind and has a ton of dedicated patrons.
Tutti Fruitti Kitchen and Market started in 1986 as a farm produce stand, serving fresh produce pretty much right out of the garden. They became well-known for their quality harvested goods and decided to expand their business into a restaurant in early 2012, right in their front yard, literally in the center of their massive farm fields.
When you drive through Sauk Centre on I-94 and County Road 186, you won’t see it unless you’re looking for it specifically. Once you arrive though, you’ll be excited to see what the Gwost family has created over the years.
They still sell their fresh produce at their farm market like they have since the beginning. The restaurant is down-on-the-farm home cooking, with everything made from scratch. Since you’re there, you can’t help but take home some sweet goodies too. They have a bakery that makes fresh pies and pastries every day, and even serve up shakes and sundaes!
You truly have to see it to believe it, and Tutti Fruitti in Sauk Centre is a perfect destination for a road trip to see something unique in Minnesota.
