The PBS concert series Front and Center has started its seventh season, premiering a new string of episodes that includes performances from Steven Tyler, Steve Vai, Joe Jackson, Dawes, Jennifer Nettles and Cheap Trick — who can be seen here playing "When I Wake Up Tomorrow."

This season of Front and Center takes audiences to a variety of locations, including New York's Iridium — where Matchbox 20 frontman Rob Thomas taped his season-opening performance — and the Melrose Ballroom, where Cheap Trick turned in a set in front of a crowd described as "intimate." Ultimate Classic Rock is proud to present the exclusive premiere of the evening's rendition of "When I Wake Up Tomorrow," a song originally recorded for the band's 2016 effort Bang, Zoom, Crazy ... Hello. Fans are advised to check their local listings for airdates.

"It feels incredible to bring Front and Center back for a seventh season," enthused executive producer Don Maggi in a press release announcing the new season. "We had the privilege of working with a dynamic group of artists to give fans new insight on the creative process of some of their favorite musicians."

Cheap Trick's Front and Center taping caught the band on something of a career high — they arrived at the Melrose Ballroom on April 10, shortly after being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The special catches the group on a rare respite from the road, but as previously reported, they'll be back in front of crowds this summer as part of Foreigner's 40th anniversary tour.
