Not overly loved by many critics but who cares when you're a commercial success right off the bat.

'Led Zeppelin' the LP didn't review well in Rolling Stone magazine, however; at a later time had the album at #29 on the Top 500 greatest album list.

No record deal at the time for the band, so Jimmy Page produced the album in studio and paid for the studio time.

Studio time isn't cheap yet the band recorded the LP in just 36 hours.

What timing as the LP was released at the break of the bands first U.S. tour and talk about a storm of heavy/hard rock music to enhance the revolution of music that was starting to change.

#10 in U.S. charts and #6 in the U.K.

Certified 8x Platinum in the U.S. and 2x Platinum in the U.K.

Released January 12th,1969
