"The Load Out" gives us a birds eye view from the crew who do all the labor while on the road.

The crew or roadies if you wish bust their butts out there on the road, they load, unload, set up and tear down the stage and equipment, transport, you name it, anything and everything when it comes to showcase the performer.

Three co-writers get credit for this gem, Jackson Browne, Bryan Garafolo and David Lindley. As far as I know they all still tour together to this day.

The song is on the album, 'Running On Empty' from 1977.

"We do so many shows in a row,
And these towns all look the same.
We just pass the time in our hotel rooms,
And wander 'round backstage."

Let's hear it for the roadies.
