ST. CLOUD - Coborn's has a plan to expand and remodel their Cooper Avenue store in St. Cloud.

Spokesman Dennis Host says they want to build a more than 10,000 square foot addition to the east side of the building, and move the liquor store into that space. He says the produce and deli departments will move into the current liquor store space.

Our produce and baker/deli area will all expand into that side of the store.  We've just taken the strategy that we just really enhance the fresh offerings that we present to our guests.  And, we're responding to the way consumers are wanting to buy and shop today, and that involves much more prepared foods and grab-and-go...

Host says they also plan to add some additional parking spaces.

A public hearing on the project has been scheduled for the November 28th city council meeting.

Host says Coborn's expect to complete the project next year, but no specific timeline has been set yet.
