A horrific crash injured at least 33 spectators during the final lap at the second tier nationwide series race today, one day before Daytona 500.

The crash began as leader leader Regan Smith tried to block Brad Keselowski and gain the win. That triggered a chain reaction, which led to rookie Kyle Larson’s vehicle spun, smashed into the cars in front of him and went launched into the safety fence. Larson’s entire front end disintegrated and spewed into a section of the seats.
