UNDATED -- If you're looking for public hunting land, the Department of Natural Resources has an improved search tool for you on their website.

The search tool now allows you to search for Wildlife Management Areas anywhere in the state based on features you're looking for. With 1,300,000 acres of public land spread out among 1,500 Wildlife Management Areas, hunters should be able to find what they're looking for.

You can search by name, county, game species and whether it is wheelchair accessible.

The new interactive maps allow you to zoom-in, toggle between maps and aerial photography, and zoom-out to see other public lands nearby.

For a look at the new online tool, visit the DNR's website.
