Bret Michaels is set to return to the Celebrity Apprentice this season but Donald Trump has some questions.

On Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Donald Trump revealed that he didn’t really know why Poison front man Bret Michaels wanted to do another season of Celebrity Apprentice because he had already won the show in 2010, but looking back, he says he understands Bret’s motivation.

Back in 2010, Bret was part of the final two, which, when the show aired had already been taped months ago. The final boardroom meeting to name the winner was going to be held in front of a live audience. That was set to occur just over a month after Bret had had surgery following a brain hemorrhage. It was also three days earlier that Bret had a “warning stroke” and was in the hospital again, but Bret pulled it off and was named The Celebrity Apprentice.

Last time, Bret was playing for the American Diabetes Association and won 250 thousand dollars for them by being named The Celebrity Apprentice. This time around, Bret is playing for the Bret Michaels Life Rocks Foundation that supports a variety of different charities including those that help out our military.

The All Star Celebrity Apprentice begins Sunday on NBC, and in case you were wondering, yes, Gary Busey will be back.
